KMM hires tax preparers, bookkeepers, and CPAs into one of three practices: personal, trusts, and estates; business tax and bookkeeping; or real estate. You work in one area, with the other two down the hall.
What the work is like here
One practice, one area
You are hired into one practice and stay in it. A Klein Muskat associate prepares 1040s and 1041s, not a bit of everything.
CPA or EA
We hire CPAs and Enrolled Agents, and candidates working toward either license.
Direct client work
You deal with clients directly. The person who prepares the return is the one who answers the client's questions about it.
Busy season and the rest of the year
February through April is heavy. May through January is bookkeeping, projections, extensions, and trust work: not idle, and not the same hours.

Where it goes
The firm plans to add practices, and each new one needs someone to run it.
